Speedy-Konkurrenz? "Ball"
Neu von "Ball"
(c) Timezone.com
For Baselworld 2006, Ball Watch will introduce the Fireman Ionosphere Chronograph which marks the beginning of their collaboration with engineer and NASA astronaut Dr. Owen Garriott, who first launched into space as the scientist-pilot for the Skylab III mission.
Drawing on his space experiences, as well as extensive time spent on deep sea research missions and Antarctic expeditions, Dr. Garriott has worked with the Ball Watch designers to create the specifications for this professional watch.
"In space, accurate time is even more important than on the ground," Garriott stresses. "As the spacecraft moves at about 7.5km/sec, every second of error moves your landing point by 7.5 km." An early astronaut quickly learned this when he delayed the deorbit burn too long and landed far from his intended splashdown point.
The case, in stainless steel, measures 43mm X 14.4mm and has an AR coated sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and back, and is water resistant to 100 meters and schock resistant to 5,000 G’s.
Movement is the automatic ETA caliber 7750, functions include the hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; day and date; chronograph – accumulated time measurement up to 12 hours; 19 micro gas tubes on the hour, minute, and second hands and the dial for night reading capability.
A white dial is also available.

Marketing-Schmäh vom Feinsten."In space, accurate time is even more important than on the ground,"

Hi,
Neil: "EDWIN! Zwick ab, wir müssen runter!"
Edwin: "Mann! Drück einfach wer C-17, B-2 und zieht *kurz* an DF-C7"
Neil: "..............Done"
Edwin: "NICHT SO LANG, DU IDIOT!"
Michael: "Ich kann die Pyramiden sehen"
Base Control: "Sagt mal, was macht ihr da?
