Uhrsachen, based in Berne, is one of Switzerland and Europe’s most innovative watch stores.
In cooperation with German watch maker Meistersinger, they have created a limited edition of their successful "Einzeigeruhr" single-hand watch. There will be a total of 75 pieces.
Meistersinger single-hand watches represent a consistent return to the beginnings of the watchmaker's art. Every division on the dial stands for five minutes and this degree of accuracy in telling time, using this 'archaic' concept, is entirely sufficient for most everyday situations.
The Uhrsachen limited edition is available in two versions, both handwinding. One with an Unitas 6497 caliber and sapphire crystal limited to 25 pieces, and the other with an ETA 2801 movement and mineral glass limited to 50 pieces.
The design is in black/orange using Uhrsachen's own “house font" named Frutiger for the typography on the dial. A special black leather bracelet with orange stitching and a folding buckle are additional extras for the limited edition watch.
MSRP is $1,300 for the Unitas caliber and $685 for the ETA 2801 caliber.
