The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 is not just a new smartwatch, but also a totally new concept from TAG Heuer. The watch will be able to host both digital and mechanical modules that attach to the watch's lugs. Users will therefore be able to switch from wearing a smartwatch to a mechanical one seamlessly. Both modules will be the same size, 45mm, which is about 1mm smaller than the original Connected.

Jetzt noch die Preise für die mechanischen Modul bitte. Laut TIme and Tide in Australischen Dollar:

TAG Heuer Calibre 5 Mechanical Module, $2300

= ca. 1.700 Euro.

Sprich: etwas um die 3,5 K Euro für eine Connect mit einem mechanischen Modul.

Auch wenn ich mir das alles noch nicht ruhig zu Gemüte geführt habe, typisch JCB und eine tolle Idee.

All this seems impressive, but the basic question remains: will it bring the affluent smartwatch user into the world of haute horlogerie? Will it create loyal TAG Heuer buyers from people who, for the most part, have never worn a mechanical watch? The best answer at this point is a resounding maybe. The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 is a fascinating experiment in brand positioning and a welcome breath of innovation in an industry that seems to, by and large, ignore the smartwatch trend altogether. If there’s any brand that could possibly make this work, it’s TAG Heuer, and I can’t help but think that this is an idea ahead of its time. Only more time will tell if the world is ready to receive it.

Nanu,das habe ich auch noch nie erlebt. Anscheinend haben sie im selben Moment das Video getauscht...in dem vorher Hr.Biver selbst mit diesem Moderator die Uhr präsentiert hatte.

Das wäre wirklich etwas für Swatch gewesen. Ich mag ja Hayek wirklich sehr, aber DAS hat er meiner Meinung nach falsch entschieden. Swatch hat ja nun vor ein paar Monaten endlich auch angekündigt in diese Richtung zu gehen. Produkte kommen aber anscheinend erst im 2018...

Das Konzept finde ich überzeugend. Ist die bislang einzige Lösung im Luxusuhrenbereich, die mir zusagt.

Nur die konkrete Umsetzung gefällt mir einfach nicht, also das Design des Gehäuses. Deshalb hoffe ich mal, dass andere Hersteller ähnliches bieten.

WTF? Blick ichs nicht? Kann mir jemand erklären warum ich die exponiertesten Teile einer Uhr, die Hörner, und das Verschleißteil Armband zu anderen Mittelteilen tauschen wollen sollte?
Mickeymaustechnik. Verdammt teure Mickeymaustechnik mit optionalem Tourbillon.
Aber wahrscheinlich bin ich da als Ingenieur mal wieder zu Innovationsfeindlich .
